The Pharma Vision covers the entire spectra of pharmaceutical research and focuses on drug design, medicinal chemistry, and computational chemistry, method development for pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology and preclinical drug evaluation including toxicology, drug absorption and metabolism, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis, advanced drug delivery techniques, drug targeting, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical microbiology and biotechnology, phytochemical research, medical devices, polymer/biopolymer applications in pharmaceutical technology and Pharmacy Practice.
Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy
Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2007 under the guidance of Shri. B. L. Boolani, trustee-in-charge of Vivekanand Education Society. The Institute was established with a mission to work closely with industry and work on solving problems for Industry. The Institute is headed by Principal, Prof. (Mrs.) Supriya Shidhaye, since July 2009 and works with the vision to create competent pharmacy professionals to positively impact healthcare of the Society.
At present the Institute conducts B. Pharm. Course with 100 intake and M. Pharm. Courses in three disciplines i. e. Quality Assurance, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry with intake of 15 each. The Institute also conducts Ph.D. Programs in the branches of Pharmaceutics (Intake 12) and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Intake 6) and all programs are affiliated to University of Mumbai. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) & Government of Maharashtra. The institute is listed under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956.
VESCOP has received NBA Accreditation for the B. Pharm. till 2022 as per Outcome Based Education – OBE System, Washington accord. National Centre of Quality Management awarded the Institute with top ranks in two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019 in the contest of “Best Educational Quality Enhancement Team”. The Institute has been awarded as Best Industry Linked Pharmacy Institute PAN India in 2018 in AICTE-CII survey consistently receiving most premier platinum rating for past cycles of survey. The Institute has been ranked 63rd and 67th among Pharmacy institutes across the nation at NIRF 2020 and 2019 respectively.

Publication Policy
- Only individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research should be listed as authors. Use the standardized Contributor Roles Taxonomy (e.g., conceptualization, methodology, data curation, writing – original draft, supervision) to clearly define each author’s role.
- Ensure that the primary institutional affiliation of all authors is clearly stated and credited properly.
- Acknowledge if two or more authors contributed equally to the research (e.g., co-first authorship).
- Order of Authorship should be determined jointly by all co-authors based on the level of contribution.
- All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to be accountable for its content.
- Avoid Gift Authorship (credit without contribution), Ghost Authorship (uncredited contributors), and Honorary authorship.
- Corresponding Author ensures all authors meet authorship criteria, handles communication with journals, and manages any post-publication discussions or corrections.
- Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria (e.g., technical support, data collection, funding, language editing) should be properly acknowledged with their consent.
- Acknowledge approval from relevant ethics committees (like IEC) and informed consent from participants when applicable.
- All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research or its publication.
- Proper acknowledgment must be given to funding agencies, industry sponsor, institutional facilities, and any collaborative bodies that supported the work.
- Acknowledge use of previously published figures, tables, or large excerpts, including permissions from publishers.
Plagiarism Policy
- The institution follows UGC norms regarding plagiarism. Anti-plagiarism software like Turnitin can be used.
- A maximum similarity index of ≤16% is permitted (excluding references, quotes).
